Picking up our cross, daily. It is what Jesus said His followers have to do.
I have to speak on that theme on Saturday at “The Commission,” a Day Conference for men taking place in Woodhill Evangelical Church, Bishopbtiggs. Where is it obvious I have picked up my cross today to follow Jesus?
The “talk” on Saturday is the easy part…

Luke 14:25-33 clearly sets out that there is a cost to following Him. Count that cost… what might we lose in our own lives by ‘taking up our cross’ daily?
But in the long term, weighed against the riches of belonging to Him, knowing Him, serving Him, and finally having Him gloriously displayed in us when He appears, 1 John 3:2., glorification comes that is obvious and no longer hidden from the world.
Praying for wisdom for you to bring what God desires!
