Where there is self focus, there is rebellion and refusal to accept the will and word of God, usually unconsciously.
I was listening to a message from Times Square church earlier this evening, by pastor Carter Conlon, in which he mentioned that man’s desire was to be his own judge of what is right and what is wrong, to be his own god; therefore Adam and Eve fell because of this temptation not recognised.
God first. To obey is to love Him, is ‘better than sacrifice’.
And it is better than remaining a person who calls him/herself by His name but whose heart is far from Him, stony and incapable of being changed. You say it far better than I can, Kenny. May your words that are so anointed be effective for the purpose they have been sent. God bless and keep you and yours.
