Stay Calm…

Remembering a time in the Presbytery of Orkney when someone was pushing for something that I felt was very wrong, full of human cleverness and sincerity, but godless. I was getting very fretful within. I am not good at debate and felt powerless. All of a sudden I felt the Spirit of God pouring calmness on my soul and body very physically. This assurance was planted in me. “What is not of God will fall….” Yes, I know it is in the bible, but it is so kind of the Spirit to remind us of what we need reminded of.

Perhaps today you may need to hold on to the same truth…what is not of God will fall…it might take a while….but stay calm, don’t waste energy on unnecessary fighting…wait upon the Lord…patiently….. He will act….

By the way, the master scheme being rolled out that day came to nothing….

I think I will remind myself of this truth before I get involved in a Facebook scrap!

God Bless

Read numbers 21 today and this stood out to me “the people became impatient because of the journey ” verse 4. Just look where that led to …

Sometimes the hardest thing in such a situation is to resist the temptation to try to take control and let God act or not as He sees fit. Well that’s how it is for me anyway. It comes down to faith and trust.

It can come down to faith and trust not how much or how little.
Trusting that God has given us power to act rather than react.
Trusting that God himself is seeking our response to Him
Ensuring that response encompasses love without measure.
His love for us and for another above all.
    Powers of darkness will flee
For too long l have quashed reaction and looked to God to mend the wounds.
Now for me is a time to rise up and come away to come away from taunts.
His protection isHis armour,His sword for the fight.
He brings truth without the fear of reponse so we can stand firm and be counted as one of His without comprise Or tolerance of oppression.
God has made me in His image
The devil must be very afraid when God is seen and made known.
