There are times when I feel like giving up the fight, usually during extended periods of illness, conflict, circumstances that demand long term energy input to keep practising faith in Him who is our rock.
Gal 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we not give up. NIV
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.
Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. NIV
Matthew 12:20 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory. NIV
Those are some of the scripture verses I find helpful. Let’s all keep faith and strength in our wonderful Saviour, counsellor and comforter, Jesus Christ whose Spirit lives within us, our seal of salvation.
